In the third quarter of 2024, the News and Magazines category on the Android platform in El Salvador saw varied performance across the top five applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited distinct patterns in downloads and active users.

Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with numbers ranging from approximately 395 to 539 downloads per week. The app's active user base showed a slight increase, starting at around 11K and peaking at nearly 12.5K by the end of September.

Way2News Daily News App experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 358 and dropping to about 97 towards the end of the quarter. Despite this, its active user count remained relatively stable, initially around 42K, with a slight dip and recovery, concluding the quarter with approximately 37.5K active users.

Dailyhunt Xpresso News Cricket showed an upward trend in weekly downloads, beginning with 138 and reaching up to 299 by the end of September. The app's active users also saw an increase, starting at roughly 30K and peaking at nearly 34K mid-quarter, before stabilizing around 31.7K.

Shuru:Public News & Local News experienced fluctuations in downloads, beginning at 201 and decreasing to 112 by the quarter's end. Its active user base remained fairly constant, generally hovering around 4K throughout the period.

Google News - Daily Headlines saw a decline in downloads from 214 to 79 weekly by the end of the quarter. The app's active user numbers showed some variation, peaking at 4.5K in late July before settling around 4K.
